Forrest Gump
The film I'm going to talk about today is very well-known and most of you may have watched it. I watched it not much time ago, though. This film's director is Robert Zeneckis, who also directed 'The Polar Express' (a film which is tradition to watch all Christmas in my family), 'Back to The Future' (which is great in my opinion) and lots of other well-known films. He won the 'Academy Award for the Best Director' after finishing 'Forrest Gump'. The film is an adaptation from a book by Eric Roth, which Zeneckis says is more focused on romance and Forrest doesn't look like a decent person. Forrest Gump's actor is Tom Hanks, and I consider he must be a great actor (although I haven't watched any other of his films) because to act as someone like Forrest might be hard. Jenny is Robin Wright, Gary Sinise is Lieutenant Dan Taylor, Mykelti Williamson is Bubba, and so on. The story is about Forrest Gump, a boy who has to wear some sort of a gadget to walk and straighten his column. The day he beggins school, after his mom has talked with the headmaster lots of times because his IC (Intelectual Coeficient) was 75 and the minimum they accepted was of 80, he got up the bus and only a girl let him to sit with her, her name was Jenny Curran. She became his best friend, and they grew up together, until college. Forrest fell in love with her and didn't understand why she wasn't with him. Jenny carried with a pretty hard life, with drugs and other things that made her life worst. Forrest, on the other side, as he did whatever they asked him to do so, he had much success in the military corp, then playing ping-pong, and so on with many other things. He became really wealthy and had a great life, altough he didn't really realised it. When his mom died, he was working in his 'Bubba-Gump' factory, which he decided to carry with his best friend, Bubba, who he met in the military corp, but dissafortunately, died in Forrest's arms, trying to save him. The whole story is told by Forrest while he's waiting for the bus to different people who stay there to listen to him. The last thing he talks about is that, one day, he decided, just to run. And he ran for 3 years. He said: "I slept when I wanted to sleep and I ate when I wanted to eat, and then I continued running. I felt like running.". He missed Jenny durnig that time. When he's telling the story to an old woman, telling her he's going to Jenny's house, she tells him he doesn't have to take the bus, because her house's no more than around 3 streets away! He went there and met Jenny, who had a child who, to Forrest's surprise, was his child also. Jenny and him began living together and the film ends when Forrest's with his son waiting for the bus at his first school-day.

"Les Choristes"
"Les Choristes", also known as "The Choir" it's a music-based on and drama film. Its director is Cristophe Barratier. He's an actor, director and musician. He studied in the "École Normale de Musique", in Paris, where he actually lives. He is also famous because of other two films, along with "The Choir", which are "Faubourg 36" and "La Nouvelle Guerre des boutons", which I haven't seen. In "The Choir", the main actors are Jean-Baptiste Maunier as Pierre Morhange, Gérard Jugnot as Clément Mathieu, Maxence Perrin as Pépinot; which are the ones I consider more relevant. Specificly, Jean-Baptiste became very famous and well-known thanks to this show. When the choir still had a white voice, they sang in concerts. The music of the film was composed by Bruno Coulais, altough in the most well-known song, "Vois Sur Ton Chemin", the lyrics were given by Barratier.
Vois Sur Ton Chemin video
The story is about Clément, a faded musician who starts working at an internate school, as he doesn't have nothing else to work at. Pierre Morhange is a kinda "rebel" guy that is in Clément's class. Morhange always ignores Clément, and shows as if he doesn't care about anything or anyone. Clément, as musician, starts a choir in his class without the head to know. At first it was very difficult to make it sound a bit acceptable. But, with the time, the guys improove. Pierre is never in class when they sing, because he's always punished in a room and he can't see anyone. But, in the night, he escapes that room and learn the songs the whole choir are learning. He has a privileged voice, altough he may not know it. His attitude doesn't change and he still doesn't want to sing with the choir. But, one day, Clément hears him singing and asks him to sing with the choir. And then ******** and **** (I'm not going to tell more because there's no need to spoil the film). I really recomend it, it's my favorite film.

I do like cinema because of many reasons. One of the main ones is that something like a film can make you feel emotions, such as when films make us cry. Other one is because of the music. Usually, music on films is quite good. I do like either animation films or real-actors films. I mostly prefer films with good music, comedies and/or some dramas. The purpose of the blog is to share my film likes and dislikes with other people, so that they can enjoy as much as I did.
